Robert R. Lanham, 71

MARTINSVILLE - Robert R. Lanham, 71, Martinsville, passed away at 11:10 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at the Indiana University Health

Bloomington Hospital.

He was born on Saturday, January 30, 1943, in Bloomington, Indiana, to the late Robert T. and Ruby L. (Roberts) Lanham.

Bob retired in 1999 from Navistar where he had worked as a machine operator.

He loved fishing and sports. He enjoyed his collection of NASCAR that he had collected over the years. Bob enjoyed going to auctions every Friday

night. He loved to sit around his garage and talk to neighbors and his brothers. He enjoyed fishing in tournaments with family and friends. Bob also

enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and the time spent with his two dogs, Sammy and Turner.

Survivors are his wife, Emma Lou (Hamilton) Lanham, whom he married on December 22, 1962; sons, Brad Lanham and wife Patty, Brian Lanham

and wife Lauren, Brent Lanham, all of Martinsville; daughter, Heather Inabnit and husband Jim of Martinsville; brothers, Jim Lanham and wife Donna

and Dennis Lanham and wife Pam, all of Martinsville; grandchildren, Morgan Chadwick, Anthony Clay, Ryan Lanham, Kailie Lanham, Courtney Patrick

and Triston Lanham; six great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Steve Lanham.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Costin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Patricia cook officiating. Visitation will be prior to

the funeral services starting at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will be at New South Park cemetery in Martinsville.
