David Michael Fultz, 60, Martinsville, died Jan. 21, 2005, at his residence.

The son of the late Joseph R. and Georgia Johnette (Martz) Fultz, he was born April 17, 1944, in Beech Grove. He was the widower of Mary Margaret "Peggy" (Jarvis) Fultz, whom he married Aug. 3, 1965. She died June 8, 1996.

Fultz was a diesel mechanic for Yellow Freight, retiring in 2001.

He was a member of VFW Post 1257; American Legion Post 230, and was an Air Force Vietnam veteran, serving from February 1965 to December 1968.

He was a 1962 graduate of Martinsville High School and enjoyed vegetable gardening and playing music.

In high school he won a drawing contest and his winning design of the Martinsville Artesian Well is still used today.
Survivors include two sons, David N. and Dane M. Fultz, both of Martinsville; three brothers, Joseph R. Fultz, St. Petersburg, Fla.; John Edward Fultz, Ophir, Utah, and Wiliam Everett Fultz, Honolulu, sister, Sharon Reid, Martinsville, and special friend, Alice Kay Smith, Martinsville.

The service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Neal & Summers Mortuary in Martinsville. Paul Day will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Martinsville.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the mortuary.
